On Sunday, the heated rivalry between the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers was reignited inside Lincoln Financial Field.
In the first quarter, a fight broke out between the two teams, with the Steelers near the Eagles’ end zone.
Flags were thrown as the melee was sparked because Pittsburgh TE Darnell Washington blocked Eagles cornerback Darius Slay all the way to the padding behind the goalposts.
Darius Slay was not thrilled about it, so he decided to let his fists do the talking.
Fan footage has since surfaced showing the Eagles cornerback throwing at least three punches at Washington and somehow escaping being flagged by the refs.
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27 to 13, on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown brought a full stop to any rumors that they have issues with each other.
Hurts finished 25 of 32 for 290 yards and two passing touchdowns, one of them going to Brown. He also had eight catches for 110 yards.
The victory extended the Eagles’ winning streak to 10 games, improving their record to 12-2 on the season. They just need one more win to clinch the NFC East.
Not only that, Philly also moved closer to potentially taking the No. 1 seed in the NFC with the Detroit Lions losing to the Bills.
